Company Overview
Compass Health is a private, non-profit, state licensed organization providing mental health and chemical dependency services. We provide services in Island, San Juan, Skagit and Snohomish counties in Washington State. A volunteer board of directors guides our path. Compass Health is a leader in the delivery of behavioral health services. We provide quality, creative services to children, families and adults. Our goal is to help people stay in their home and in their community, surrounded by family and friends who can support them during difficult times.
We have a broad comprehensive range of programs serving individuals of all ages, income levels and ethnic cultures. Clients served may be chronically mentally ill; experiencing an episodic crisis; dual diagnosed or seeking assistance for an emotional or behavioral problem. In addition to serving individuals and families, the agency provides consultation, training and educational services to other providers, law enforcement and correctional facilities, as well as the community at large.
Benefits
Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - Full-time employees working at least 30 hours/week and part-time employees regularly scheduled to work between 18.75 and 29 hours/week are eligible to enroll.
Compass Health pays 100% of the premium for medical, dental, and vision for full-time employees and a pro-rated amount of the premium for eligible part-time employees. Compass Health pays 25% of the premium for dependent children and also pro-rated for part-time employees. Benefits start the first of the month following 30 calendar days of continuous employment.
Retirement Plan (403B) - Immediately upon hire, new employees may enroll in the 403(B) retirement plan and elect to have deferrals made to the plan through payroll deductions.
Compass Health will provide for eligible employees a base contribution of 3% of gross pay and an additional match up to 1% of employees voluntary deferrals made through payroll deduction.
Vacation Leave - Full-time and part-time employees on a pro-rated basis shall accrue vacation benefits according to the following schedule:
1 year -16 Benefit Days
2 years -17 Benefit Days
3 years - 18 Benefit Days
4 years - 20 Benefit Days
5 years - 22 Benefit Days
6 years - 23 Benefit Days
10 years - 24 Benefit Days
18 + years - 25 Benefit Days
Employees are eligible to use their accrued vacation leave after 90 days of employment.
Vacation Leave Cash Out: Once per calendar year, employees with at least one year of employment may convert up to five (5) earned vacation days to additional pay.
Sick Leave - Regular full-time and part-time employees on a pro-rated basis are entitled to accrue one (1) day of paid sick leave for each month of service. The maximum accumulation of sick leave shall be 65 benefit days. Employees are eligible to take accrued sick leave upon completion of 30 consecutive days of employment.
Sick Leave Conversion: Once per calendar year, employees shall be able to convert sick leave time to vacation leave. The formula for the trade is a four (4) days of unused sick leave for each addition day of vacation.
Wellness Day - Employees may use one (1) day per calendar year of sick leave as a wellness day without any need to provide any reason or verification of illness.
Holidays - Compass Health observes 9 Federal holidays - New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Holidays falling on Saturday shall be observed on the preceding Friday. Holidays falling on Sunday shall be observed on the following Monday.
Personal Floating Holidays - Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive three (3) additional paid days off each calendar year in the form of a Personal Floating Holiday. New hires are eligible for three (3) Personal Floating Holidays if hired by April 30th, two (2) Personal Floating Holidays if hired by August 31st, and one (1) if hired between September 1st and December 31st.

Flexible Spending Account - Compass Health offers a Health Care and a Dependent Care flexible spending account (FSA) options. These accounts can provide a break on Federal and Social Security taxes for predictable out-of-pocket costs.
Life, AD&D, Long-Term Disability Insurance - Compass Health provides Life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance for it’s employees. The life insurance benefit shall be one and one-half times (1.5x) annual salary. These benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and maximum levels.
Employee Training - Compass Health has established a training fund for each regular full-time employee of $250 and five (5) days of training leave per calendar year. Training funds and leave are prorated for part-time employees. Training funds/time may be carried over for a maximum of one year. Compass Health also provides regular in-service training.
